Nigerianevergreenmusic.com ... preserving our music heritage

Owing to the ravaging influences of Western civilisation and the nonchalant attitudes of Nigerians to our indigenous culture, our music heritage is gradually vanishing in our memories.

Our appreciation, promotion and preservation of our indigenous music like Highlife, Apala, Sakara, Kalangu, etc, the instruments with which they are played, the history of the musicians themselves are been compromised such that all we hold dear are being lost.

We now have no culture to export nor do we have a documented past to show our children. The older generations who have no happiness in the current trend of music, the hip hop, the dance hall, and what-have-yous, as being dished out by the new generations are left with nothing to show their children as evidence of greater past. What we now listen to is organised noise .

This website by Livingprojects Media Network Ltd seeks to keep alive the music and memories of some Nigerian music legends for those who care to learn from the past so as to affect their future.
